What is R+R?
We all know how important it is to enjoy rest and relaxation.
The problem is that many of us are burnt out, or bordering on burnt out, and “resting” and “relaxing” is not something our bodies are currently wired to do.
Our minds won’t stop working overtime, we are finding it harder to focus, we feel like we are falling behind, “dropping the ball”, are overwhelmed, feel physically incapable of not working, and also may feel physically incapable of wanting to do ANYTHING.
So what do I do??
You’ve already made the first step by joining R+R.
Throughout the next 8 weeks, you are going to learn more about eight key areas where you can make small, impactful changes that will allow you to start to move out of that fog. Changes that will allow you to move out of “wired and tired” and gentle move towards feeling “recharged and resilient”.
You’ll learn how to find activities that recharge you (those activities are different for every person), you’ll discover new tools to help you overcome challenges and areas where you struggle the most, and you’ll also learn when it’s time to seek out professional help.
What can I expect each week?
Each week I will introduce a new module. That module will come with a training video, audio, and written notes so you can consume the module in the way that best suits you.
At the end of each module, I will offer a list of “next steps” and you will take the information you’ve learned in that module to help you determine what your next steps will be for the rest of that week.
Sometimes you may pick one of my suggestions, and sometimes you may come up with one on your own, but the important thing is that you choose 1-3 steps each week to focus on that will help you move closer towards R+R.
My goal is for you to learn more about your body, stress, stress resiliency, and learning how to recharge your “batteries” so you can refer back to this program anytime you find yourself becoming overwhelmed.
Because it happens from time to time no matter how diligent we think we are about our wellness. Things like pandemics happen and our resiliency gets stretched and tested.
But don’t worry, while some weeks may be harder than others, overall my goal is to provide you with an assortment of small fairly boring things that won’t take a lot of time out of your day, but will have a profound impact on how you feel.
